“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is essentially the dawn of something bigger brewing over at the WB. That something bigger is what comic book fans have long waited for: A Justice League movie. And of course, everyone over at WB is busy gathering the pieces of the puzzle together, which includes solo movies for the super team’s members.

Amber Heard (“The Danish Girl,” “Magic Mike XXL”) is in talks to play the love interest to Jason Momoa’s Aquaman in the “Justice League,” as well as in the standalone film, reports Variety. Currently, James Wan (“Furious 7,” “The Conjuring”) is set to direct the solo movie. Heard will play Mera, a sea queen and the future wife of Aquaman.

Production will begin in April of this year and Aquaman, along with Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) will make appearances in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill as the title characters, before appearing in “Justice League” together.

“Justice League” is set to hit theaters November 17, 2017. Zack Snyder will direct.
