It feels like “Suicide Squad” is taking forever to be released because they’ve been releasing images and teasers about the film for a while now. But now that it’s 2016 and the film’s release date is only months away, the group of villains and miscreants have assembled in what is already one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year.

Warner Bros. Pictures has released a set of stylized character posters of the squad that includes Harley Quinn, Joker, Slipknot, Deadshot, and Killer Croc, among others. The movie follows a group of former villains who have been arrested and then recruited by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), often associated with organization like Checkmate and A.R.G.U.S. Her most recent incarnation has appeared on The CW’s “Arrow.”

“Suicide Squad” is directed by David Ayer and also stars Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Karen Fukuhara, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach, and Jared Leto as The Joker.

The new trailer for “Suicide Squad” will premiere on January 19 at 9 p.m. after “The Flash” on The CW. The film is set to hit theaters on August 5, 2016.
