After announcing that CBS’ “Supergirl” and The CW’s “The Flash” were crossing over, there hasn’t been a lot in the way of details, with many correctly speculating that the Scarlet Speedster would be making his way to National City by way of a breach from his Earth to another.

The March 28 episode of “Supergirl,” aptly titled “Worlds Finest,” will have The Flash (Grant Gustin) dropping in–not just from another network, but from another Earth (“The Flash” introduced the concept of multiple Earths early on in its sophomore season)–to help Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) battle not one, but two villains in return for helping him find his way back home.

A new poster has been revealed featuring both superheroes and the cast of “Supergirl,” which includes Calista Flockhart and Jeremy Jordan. The poster is akin to a comic book cover and pays homage to “Superman” issue no. 199, where The Flash and Kara’s cousin, the Man of Steel, race each other.

“Worlds Finest” is from a story by Greg Berlanti, with a teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg and Michael Grassi.

“Worlds Finest” – Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire, in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”
