DreamWorks Pictures looks like they’ve got a possible hit on their hands. As drama goes, The Fifth Estate seems to have it in spades and looks suspenseful as well. The film, which follows the story of Julian Assange, the man behind WikiLeaks, premiered today at the Toronto International Film Festival, so the reviews should start leaking soon.
In a new featurette, the film’s stars and director talk about The Fifth Estate and the media in the age of the internet. They discuss the fact that the film isn’t a documentary, but certainly focuses on Assange’s life, his friendship with Daniel Domscheit-Berg, and his mission to bring the truth to the people.
You can check out the featurette below!
The film is directed by Bill Condon and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Brühl, Anthony Mackie, Stanley Tucci, Daniel Thewlis, and Laura Linney. It hits theaters October 18.
