Robert De Niro is an accomplished actor and is one of the most recognizable faces in the film industry. But now it seems like he’s reverting backwards in his career. At least he is onscreen, where he’ll be playing an intern at 70 years old, starring opposite Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway, who plays his boss. It’s an interesting switch and testament to the changing workplace atmosphere where interns are more like employees and assets to an organization more than ever before.

The film, which is written and directed by Nancy Meyers (The HolidaySomething’s Gotta GiveThe Parent Trap), will hit theaters September 25, 2015 and also stars Rene Russo, Anders Holm, and Adame Devine. You can watch the first trailer for the film and read the full synopsis below.

Synopsis: In “The Intern,” Robert De Niro stars as Ben Whittaker, a 70-year-old widower who has discovered that retirement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Seizing an opportunity to get back in the game, he becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site, founded and run by Jules Ostin (Hathaway).
