We’ve seen Channing Tatum dance (“Magic Mike,” “Step Up,” and most recently in “Hail, Caesar!”). We’ve also seen Joseph Gordon-Levitt give a bit of dancing a go: See “(500) Days of Summer” for proof. But now, they’re going to dance together… and sing. Well, they’re probably going to be doing both in a new musical comedy from Universal about two pilots.
The still untitled project will be produced by Marc Platt, who helped bring the immensely popular “Wicked” to Broadway and will also be co-produced by Tatum and Gordon-Levitt’s individual production companies, Free Association and hitRECord Films, respectively. Michael Bacall (“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” “21 Jump Street”) will write the script.
Gordon-Levitt took to Twitter to announce the exciting news, which was originally reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
