Ryan Gosling has been making headlines these last couple of years with films like “Drive”, “The Ides of March” and “The Place Beyond the Pines”.
Nicolas Winding Refn (“Drive”) is back to direct Gosling in a new film called “Only God Forgives” which takes place in the boxing and prostitution underworld of Bangkok, China.
“It’s very extreme,” Gosling told The Playlist in a recent interview. “It’s part of the same dream as ‘Drive,’ but it’s more of a nightmare than a dream.”
“Only God Forgives” will hit theaters July 19 after it premieres at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
