Garry Marshall’s name has become synonymous with celebrity-ridden films with several character storylines and cheesy dialogue abound. “Mother’s Day” follows several characters and their relationships with their mothers.
Marshall seems intent on making films about all holidays, it seems (“Valentine’s Day” and “New Year’s Eve” are already under his belt). The supporting cast looks good on this one and includes some newcomers he’s never worked with like Jennifer Aniston, Margo Martindale, and Jason Sudeikis. Other returning Marshall movie favorites include Julia Roberts and Kate Hudson, who starred in his films “Pretty Woman” and “Raising Helen,” respectively.
You can watch the new trailer for “Mother’s Day” below. Directed by Gary Marshall with a script by Tom Hines and Lily Hollander, the film will open in theaters April 29.
