It’s official: “Dope” actress Kiersey Clemons will be playing Iris West in the big screen adaptation of “The Flash.”
Clemons was in final talks to play the investigative journalist and long-time love of Barry Allen and it has finally been confirmed. The big screen version of the title superhero is being played by Ezra Miller and this past weekend was the first major footage we’ve seen of him in the role (not foregoing “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice”).
Now that she’s been cast, Clemons will also be appearing alongside Miller in “Justice League” in what will most likely be a cameo. On TV, Barry Allen and Iris West are portrayed by Grant Gustin and Candice Patton, respectively.
Directed by Rick Famuyiwa, who also directed Clemons in “Dope,” “The Flash” movie will race its way into theaters on March 16, 2018.
