The superheroes are back in style. The CW aired a special hour dedicated to all things DC comic superheroes last night. Trying to compete with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Smith hosted the “DC Films Present the Dawn of the Justice League” special that covered everything from DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” which will make its series premiere on Thursday, January 21 on The CW, to giving us a new trailer for “Suicide Squad” and debuting new “Wonder Woman” footage.

Gal Gadot says that the “we are going to see her coming of age, the entire history, what’s her mission.” And DC gave fans some never-before-seen footage from the film. And since we’ll be getting Wonder Woman’s origin story, there’ll be scenes set among the Amazonians before Diana begins interacting with the humans. Dubbed the “best fighter in the DC universe,” the footage is sure to please as we see Wonder Woman kick some ass.

“Wonder Woman” is directed by Patty Jenkins and also stars Chris Pine and Robin Wright. You can watch the first footage from the film below! Beware, it looks pretty awesome!
