San Diego Comic Con is over, but it’s still the gift that keeps on giving. “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is already getting a lot of buzz. They’ve diversified their cast and I’m really excited about that. On hand at comic con was director Jon Watts, who was joined by the new Peter Parker himself, Tom Holland.
It’s been revealed that “The Grand Budapest Hotel” actor, Tony Revolori, will be playing Flash Thompson. And according to Revolori, his character will be “Peter Parker’s bully.”
Watts and producer Kevin Feige also confirmed that Michael Keaton will be a part of the cast, but they have not yet specified who his character will be, though there has been speculation that he may play the villain Vulture. Other characters that have been confirmed are Zendaya Coleman as Michelle, Laura Harrier as Liz, and Jacob Batalon as Ned. All three are not regular characters in the comics, so it’ll be fun to see how they will fit into this adaptation.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” also stars Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and hits theaters on July 7, 2017. You can check out one of the first concept art images above!
