There are a hell of a lot of superheroes littering the mediums of TV and film. One of the most successful and popular of the flock (and really one of the best!) has always been the X-Men movies. After Bryan Singer, the first director of the franchise, smartly rebooted the comic-book-based film universe with X-Men: Days of Future Past, the story has, for now, ditched its present for its past and (fans everywhere rejoice!) we’re finally getting the Apocalypse (played so eerily by Oscar Isaac, Ex Machina) storyline! The Four Horsemen will be included!

20th Century Fox has debuted the official trailer for the sixth feature, aptly titled, X-Men: Apocalypse. Returning characters include the younger versions of Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), and Beast (Nicholas Hoult).

The film is also set to introduce the younger versions of Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), and Storm (Alexandra Shipp), along with new characters Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Jubilee (Lana Candor).

The trailer sets up the entire movie’s premise so well and includes scenes with all major characters. If there’s anything that’s worth being excited for, it’s this!

X-Men: Apocalypse is slated to hit theaters Memorial Day weekend 2016. Mark your calendars!
