After making its debut at last year’s Virginia Film Festival, Big Stone Gap finally has a trailer. The film, which was shot entirely on location in screenwriter-director Adriana Trigiani’s (The Shoemaker’s Wife) hometown, is based on Trigiani’s book of the same name. This will be her feature film debut and centers around Ave Maria Mulligan, played by Ashley Judd, who has resigned herself to a quiet life in a small town. That is, until she discovers a family secret that she hopes to unravel.

You can see the poster and watch the trailer below!

Big Stone Gap also stars Patrick Wilson, Whoopi Goldberg, John Benjamin Hickey, Jane Krakowski, Anthony LaPaglia, Jenna Elfman, Jasmine Guy, Judith Ivey. The film opens in theaters October 9, 2015.
